Midtown Manhattan will shut down for hours this afternoon as the largest Veterans Day parade in the US draws thousands of spectators and marchers honoring those who serve in the military.

New York City’s 103rd Annual Veterans Day Parade will kick off around 12 pm at 26th Street and Fifth Avenue before ending at 45th Street and Fifth Avenue.

More than 20,000 participants will march as thousands of spectators will set up camp along the parade route to catch a glimpse of the more than 280 marching units, 25 floats and 150 vehicles cruising down Fifth Avenue.

Virtual watchers can catch the event on WABC, American Forces Network or Military.com. The broadcast will be available from 12:30 pm to 3 p.m.

Similar to recent years, the Opening Ceremony will be a wreath procession to the Eternal Light Memorial in Madison Square Park instead of the traditional speaker program due to health and safety concerns.
