#Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Announces “Culling Game Arc” Adaptation

An adaptation of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga’s “Culling Game Arc” has been announced following the end of the anime’s second season.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 ran from July to December 2023, with the “Shibuya Incident Arc” beginning a few weeks after the initial “Hidden Inventory Arc.” The first season ran from late 2020 to early 2021 with 24 episodes. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime movie prequel was released in Japan in December 2021. MAPPA is the animation production company.

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the Shueisha-published supernatural action manga by Gege Akutami, which began in 2018 and has 23 tankoubon volumes as of October 2023. Viz Media describes the manga as:

Some of the notable aspects of Season 2 included its director change, with Shouta Goshozono (Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 17, Ranking of Kings Episode 21, and Chainsaw Man Episode 8 storyboard artist and episode director) taking over directorial duties from Sunghoo Park (God of High School), and the publicly aired grievances from a number of participating animators and episode directors regarding its production.
