Nissin has teamed up with Baki Hanma for a new anime commercial that promotes the brand’s Saikyou Donbei (The Strongest Donbei) cup noodles, which have thicker noodles than the regular Donbei products among other features.

While the titular protagonist of Baki Hanma makes a brief appearance towards the end of the ad, the collaborative nature of “Saikyou no Dongitsune Arawareru” (“The Strongest Dongitsune Appears”) mainly manifests through the depiction of the Dongitsune character. Instead of the fox girls seen in the Dongitsune Season 2 anime commercials from earlier this year, this new ad has a frighteningly large and muscular fox man called Saikyou Dongitsune, whose character design is reminiscent of Yujiro Hanma.

Like Yujiro in the 2018 Baki Hanma anime, Saikyou Dongitsune is voiced by Akio Ootsuka. Meanwhile, the bespectacled Saikyou Donbei-eating man who encounters Saikyou Dongitsune is voiced by Daisuke Ono.
