#John Mulaney should hire my ex-wife’s divorce attorney

Sounds like some Rock-solid advice.

Comedian Chris Rock has advised John Mulaney to enlist his ex-wife’s highly efficient divorce attorney after learning that comedian and writer split with his wife of six years AnnaMarie Tendler. The “Spiral” actor dropped the unsolicited legal advice during an appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.”

“The other night I saw Mulaney. Mulaney’s working on new stuff, Mulaney’s getting divorced,” Rock, 56, told Fallon. He had reportedly heard Mulaney’s new divorce bits while opening for the 38-year-old “Big Mouth” writer at Manhattan’s City Winery from May 10-14. The sold-out five-day residency marked Mulaney’s first time performing standup since entering rehab for drug and alcohol addiction in December.

Rock said the comic should hire Malaak Compton-Rock’s lawyer to oversee the pending proceedings, as they cost the four-time Emmy Winner a huge chunk of his reported $70 million fortune when the two divorced in 2016.

“This is how much money I lost in my divorce — I recommended my ex-wife’s divorce lawyer,” The “Down To Earth” star quipped. “I was like ‘You should get this guy — he’ll get you your money.

Rock, who had admitted to cheating on Malaak with three different women — “one famous, one semi-famous and one a member of the retail class” — continued, “This guy is good, because I walked out with nothing. I couldn’t even afford the tickets tonight! You think I’m joking, but I really did.”

The veteran comic dropped the advice a week after Page Six revealed that Mulaney had decided to break it off with Tendler after completing his 60-day rehab stint in February. She said in a statement, “I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”

The reasons behind the sudden split remain unclear, although rumors have been swirling that Mulaney was having an affair.

Tendler — an artist who works across a range of mediums — had even entered rehab at around the same time late last year to deal with her emotional turmoil over her then husband’s alleged infidelity.

Mulaney is reportedly now dating actress Olivia Munn, whom he met at a church in Los Angeles. In December, Munn sent the comedian well wishes after Mulaney entered rehab following a relapse in his decades-long journey with addiction.

“Sending SO MUCH love and support to John Mulaney. You got this,” she tweeted at the time.
