#Joe Exotic’s husband claims he’s standing by his jailed man

Joe Exotic’s husband, Dillon Passage, has denied his beau’s recent accusation that he abandoned the disgraced ex-zookeeper while he was in jail. In a heartfelt Instagram post uploaded Tuesday, the 22-year-old Dillon claimed that he’s been sending the “Tiger King” star letters on the reg and “is standing by him” in his time of need.

The 57-year-old Exotic — who’s serving a 22-year sentence for a murder-for-hire plot against zoo rival Carole Baskin — penned a bizarre jailhouse letter on Monday in which he claimed: “I don’t even know if I’m married anymore.” The flamboyant former cat wrangler, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, urged people to stop sending him pics of his hubby partying, indicating that the two hadn’t communicated in some time.

However, Exotic’s partner claimed that’s not the case. “My heart is breaking after reading Joe’s letter,” wrote Dillon, who is still hitched to the caged tiger tamer on paper. He added, “I’ve been writing letters and it is a shame to hear that he isn’t receiving them.”

Exotic’s crestfallen hubby continued: “I know they limit the amount he can read in a week and I only hope they eventually get to him.”

Dillon didn’t directly address his partner’s accusations that he and others were profiting off of him following the release of “Tiger King,” the smash hit Netflix docuseries chronicling Exotic’s rivalry with Baskin.

However, he claimed that he loves the controversial zookeeper and is “standing by him.” “Know that I love you and I’m fighting for you everyday [sic],” Dillon wrote.

The two reportedly tied the knot in 2017, according to Entertainment Weekly, after meeting during karaoke night at a safari-themed bar near Exotic’s former zoo, the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
