A defiant Joe Budden saw no qualms in fans’ disgust with the untimely ending of his hit Joe Budden Podcast on Wednesday (May 12).

In fact, he embraced all slander and vitriol while responding to several comments.

“Friend or not, I’m NEVER funding someone’s sabotage of me, that will NEVER happen…,” the former rapper wrote on Twitter, referencing fired co-host Rory Farrell. “[I] get far away from the threat…. You can think piece until your face turns blue.”

He also addressed several fans head-on with responses they likely didn’t expect. When one fan replied they “lost him,” he showed them the door with a “take care” reply. When another pointed out his contradictions, he dug in and told simply told them, “I’m phony.”

The fireworks were set off within The Wire-referencing Episode 437: “You Want It To Be One Way” of the Joe Budden Podcast. Although the segment was pulled from the lineup, fans still managed to salvage the juiciest audio clips.

“Y’all will not continue to treat me this way,” Joe Budden addressed his co-hosts, who had been on the outs for the better part of 2021.

He continued, “Y’all not going to continue to treat these people this way. Y’all take that fuckin’ dark energy, that arrogance and entitlement somewhere else. I say all of that to say, we gonna do this since Rory feels like he has so many options.”

And then, the ax was hammered down like a fairgrounds mallet to a lowly bell.

“Somehow he still feels he’s running the show. He still feels like he has choices and options. He feels like he’s entitled to more. Rory, you are in breach of your contract and from this point forward, you are fired! And you’re not welcome back.”

As Twitter was set ablaze, renowned Joe Budden rival Akademiks promised an epic show later in the day. Budden, for his part, still managed to enjoy his morning while still vowing to keep the show going with new co-hosts Officially Ice and Ish.

“It’s on Patreon and that’s where it will stay… I’m off to breakfast,” Budden wrote.
