#Mahjong Soul Kan!! Premieres April 25, Releases Official Trailer with Theme Song
An official trailer has been released for the upcoming Mahjong Soul Kan!! original net animation series, which also previews the main theme song “Kan Kan Nyan Nyan.”
Mahjong Soul Kan!! will begin streaming on Mahjong Soul‘s official YouTube, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Facebook pages on April 25, 2024. New episodes will premiere every Thursday at 6:00 AM PST.
The anime is the second animated series for the franchise, following the 12-episode series Mahjong Soul Pon☆ in 2022, which is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
Kazuomi Koga (Tenpuru, The Dreaming Boy is a Realist) is serving as the anime’s director and screenwriter, with Ayumi Kurokawa (City Hunter: The Movie – Shinjuku Private Eyes) as character designer, and Dream Monster’s Hinako Tsubakiyama (Shy, Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) as music composer. Alke is handling the animation production for the series, with Cat Food Studio credited as original creators.
Other staff include Studio Aqua’s Noriko Tsutsui as art director and art designer, Studio Elle’s Yuusuke Watanabe (Gibiate) as color designer, Tetsuya Nishimura (The Aristocrat`s Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far) as photography director, and Chikako Yokota (Chained Soldier) as sound director.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

Additionally, Uchida, Saito, Ise, and Koshimizu also perform the theme song “Kan Kan Nyan Nyan.”

Mahjong Soul was released by Chinese-based Cat Food Studio in China in June 2018. Yostar released the tabletop mobile game worldwide in April 2019.
The main story of Mahjong Soul Kan!! will follow the Jyanshis trying out live streaming and get involved in a turf war between battling gangs.
