#Jennifer Hudson Shares New Song from Aretha Franklin Biopic: Listen

Jennifer Hudson has shared a new song, “Here I Am (Singing My Way Home),” a tie-in track to the forthcoming Aretha Franklin biopic RESPECT. Carole King co-wrote the track with songwriter Jamie Hartman. Listen to it below.

King and her husband Gerry Goffin co-wrote one of Aretha Franklin’s biggest hits, “(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman.” Following a delay last year, RESPECT is set to arrive on August 13. Mary J. Blige appears in the film as singer Dinah Washington, with Marc Maron taking on the role of producer Jerry Wexler.
