Jeff Tweedy has shared the video for new song “Gwendolyn,” from his forthcoming LP Love Is the King. In the star-studded clip, Tweedy starts singing the song in a mask. Once he takes it off, the lower halves of several familiar faces mouth the lyrics for him: Jon Hamm, Fred Armisen, Seth Meyers, Courtney Barnett, Alex Winter, Nick Offerman, Abbi Jacobson, Tavi Gevinson, Jeff Garlin, Robyn Hitchcock, Jay Som, Norah Jones, and more. Spot them all below.
Scheduled for a digital release October 23 via dBpm, Love is the King will now arrive physically on January 15. Tweedy’s new book How To Write One Song is out October 13, a week today. His music can be heard in a video accompanying photographer Gregory Crewdson’s collection “An Eclipse of Moths,” on exhibition at the Gagosian in Los Angeles through November 21.
