#Public School Arc Unveils Ciel Version Welcome Visual, Begins Next April

The upcoming Black Butler: Public School Arc has received another portrait-themed “Welcome” visual, this time with Ciel Phantomhive as the framed character. Also revealed was an April 2024 premiere window.

Black Butler: Public School Arc is the latest Black Butler anime since 2017’s Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic movie. Crunchyroll will stream the anime. The Square Enix-published dark fantasy manga by Yana Toboso previously inspired three seasons (the first of which aired in 2008) and a two-episode OVA as well.

Yen Press describes the manga as:

Just a stone’s throw from London lies the manor house of the illustrious Phantomhive earldom, its master one Ciel Phantomhive. Earl Phantomhive is a giant in the world of commerce, Queen Victoria’s faithful servant . . . and a slip of a twelve-year old boy. Fortunately, his loyal butler, Sebastian, is ever at his side, ready to carry out the young master’s wishes. And whether Sebastian is called to save a dinner party gone awry or probe the dark secrets of London’s underbelly, there is practically nothing Sebastian cannot do. In fact, one might even say Sebastian is too good to be true . . . or at least, he is too good to be human . . 

The Black Butler manga began in 2006 and has 33 tankoubon volumes as of July 2023. It is serialized in Monthly G Fantasy.
