#Jay Williams out on ESPN’s ‘NBA Countdown,’ Jalen Rose next?

News: Jay Williams is out on ESPN’s “NBA Countdown,” including the top show that leads into the NBA Finals, Post Sports+ has learned.

Williams was featured on the program with Maria Taylor, Jalen Rose and Adrian Wojnarowski. Taylor — who was embroiled in the Rachel Nichols controversy — left for NBC after the Finals.

The analyst favorites: As previously reported here, Stephen A. Smith and Michael Wilbon remain the favorites to be on the top show. A reunion with Magic Johnson has been one target for ESPN, but it may not happen. They are trying to figure it all out. The season starts Oct. 19.
