#Jalen Suggs’ girlfriend, Hailey Van Lith, is a baller too

After Gonzaga product Jalen Suggs was selected fifth overall by the Magic in the 2021 NBA Draft, he can soon celebrate the life-changing moment with girlfriend Hailey Van Lith.

It’s unclear when the couple got together, but they appeared to have gone public with the relationship in June. At the time, Van Lith and Suggs shared matching Instagram posts that featured PDA photos of the pair in Los Angeles.

Suggs responded “Hey wife” to Van Lith’s most recent Instagram photo in which she is sporting Lakers shorts.

Van Lith and Suggs have a shared love for basketball, as she’s already an accomplished basketball player at age 19. Van Lith is an elite guard at Louisville, where she’s majoring in business.

As a freshman in 2020-21, Van Lith started in 26 games for the Cardinals and averaged 11.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game to help lead her team to the Elite Eight.

Van Lith has played alongside UConn star Paige Bueckers as part of USA Basketball, in which she’s won four gold medals (2019 FIBA U19 World Cup; 2019 FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup; 2018 Youth Olympic Games; 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup). Her basketball résumé is very extensive and includes high school All-American accolades and much more.

Van Lith has played basketball at the late Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, Calif., where she spent time with the Lakers legend and his late daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, according to photos shared to her Instagram account.

Van Lith, who began playing basketball in the second grade, comes from a family of athletes. Her father played baseball and basketball at the University of Puget Sound, and her brother plays baseball at Big Bend Community College.

The Washington native used to play softball, and enjoys hiking, spending time with friends, and of course her boyfriend, Suggs.
