Omaha, NE – Ja Rule was trolled by 50 Cent‘s music at a concert in Omaha, Nebraska last month.

The Murder Inc. rapper was gearing up to hit the stage at Power 106.9’s Jingle Jam at the Baxter Arena when 50’s 2003 hit “In Da Club” started playing through the venue’s speakers.

In one clip circulating online, members of Ja’s team can be seen rushing around on stage trying to get the song stopped. One person rushes to the mic and says: “Stop the show right here,” before another demands: “Aye, cut that shit off!”

The event, which also saw performances from Ashanti, Lloyd, Twista and Do or Die, took place on December 10, but footage has only recently began making the rounds.

In another video, a fan can be heard proclaiming 50 Cent’s dominance in his long-standing feud with Ja Rule while reveling in the moment.

“Only in Omaha they gon’ play 50 at Ja Rule shit,” the fan said as “In Da Club” boomed throughout the arena. “They trying to get it cut off right now… That n-gga 50’s still winning!”

“Ja Rule out there 20 years later and still getting done in by 50 Cent,” read the caption of the tweet.

During an interview with HipHopDX in 2020, Ja Rule called 50 Cent the “king of cap” after it was claimed he bought 200 front row tickets to one of his shows to keep them empty.

“It’s cap, yo!” he said at the time. “He’s capping. King of cap, n-gga. I tell n-ggas, I say, ‘Yo, I got 10 stacks right now for anybody that can find footage of this foolery that this n-gga is talking about.’ Listen, we live in a world of fucking, everything is on video. Come on, man. Stop with the foolery, man!”

He continued: “Even the thought of it is still stupid, because n-gga, all you did if you did that, was put money in my pocket. And what you think the promoter is going to do? Have an empty venue? You let n-ggas in free or charge them again! It’s the dumbest shit ever, yo. But yeah, it’s cap. Never happened.”

Ja Rule also claimed 50 Cent didn’t “want the smoke” when asked about a potential Verzuz battle.

“Listen, man,” he said. “Everybody don’t want the smoke. I got heat. Let me tell you something, when I do my shows, I can rock. I’m telling you, it’s like an hour of straight hit records. No filler. All crab meat, n-gga.”
