J.D. Martinez isn’t about to pull a Johnny Damon.

The Red Sox slugger celebrated his girlfriend’s birthday at Lionfish in Delray Beach, Florida, on Monday night — and when a fan asked when he’s going to defect to the Yankees, we’re told Martinez replied, “When they let me keep my beard.”

Of course, Damon famously buzzed his fuzz when he moved from the Sox to the Yankees in 2006.
