J Balvin is at the vanguard of the Latin trap movement with millions of albums sold, multiple Grammy noms (including Best Música Urbana album at the 2022 ceremony for his album JOSE), and fans around the world. He’ll see as many of them as possible in his upcoming tour of North America, but his new song “Niño Soñador” is a reflection on how even stadium tours behind hit albums are no comfort when faced with depression.

Ostensibly written to jump on the pop-punk wave that’s tearing up the charts, “Niño Soñador” sounds more like post-grunge acts like Switchfoot than blink-182. There’s something endearing about that, though, especially with Balvin’s candid verses depicting his struggles with feelings of failure in his personal life and the overwhelming visibility of fame. The song’s music video, streaming below, gives it even more heft with footage from across Balvin’s career.

Below, find J Balvin’s previously announced tour dates of the United States and Canada.
