#Is It Wrong To Have Sexy Characters In Games? I Ask Because Project Eve Has Caused Quite The Buzz! Good & Bad! » OmniGeekEmpire

Project Eve, an action-adventure game that takes place in the not-too-distant future on the ruined Earth fights against unknown enemies, and now has one more enemy to fight off, the internet.

Look, talking about these types of topics has a way of getting someone labeled all types of names but seeing how a few minorities on ResetEra people (I know) reacted to Project Eve’s main character got me thinking!

How sexy is too sexy?

I’m asking this because it seems to me that the more a woman in-game is beautiful AND HAS A REALLY NICE FIGURE by conventional means, the more it draws the wrath of certain people. Yet, beautiful women exist in real life, right? So why are they getting so angry? I mean, if the hate Project Eve, then they must Forspoken right? As the main character, Frey in that game almost has the same figure and is quite sexy herself. However, if they hate Frey, then my principal they have to hate Ella Balinska, the actress who’d the model blueprint for Frey. Do you see how dumb it gets?

And to be clear these are both men and women expressing frustration. I saw the same trailer as they did, and as far as I could tell, it wasn’t that bad. Then again, I am a man so, take that as you will!

Now I’m asking this as we’ve gotten a plethora of games over the past years, with more to come that features women as either lead characters or co-lead. This means, there’s going to have to be a diverse set of women in different games. Games are meant for everyone, and everyone has a different taste in what they like.

They are people who want to see average-looking, overweight women, and there are those that was to see super-fit busty women. There are also those that want both and there are those that couldn’t care less and just want the gameplay to be good. In the gaming space, unfortunately, we can’t have a”one size fits all”!

Some people just gotta learned to avoid the types of games that trigger them and play the games that they want. Yes, you can voice your opinion on something, but to try and control what can or cannot be created is crazy.

If one game has a character that you don’t like, then just go to another game. For example, if Project eve ain’t your tase when it comes to how you think women should be portrayed, then try Life Is Strange!

There’s nothing wrong with women being sexy, so long as they are able to kickass and take names, and have strong character development and plot (not that kind of plot) then I think it’s fine. Let me know what you guys think?
