#Eagles’ DeSean Jackson begins educational tour following Hitler post

The Eagles wide receiver, who posted anti-Semitic quotes attributed to Adolf Hitler on social media this week, met Thursday with a group that fights against anti-Semitism, and was scheduled to meet with a 94-year-old Holocaust survivor on Friday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It is unclear if Jackson was meeting with Edward Mosberg, a 94-year-old Holocaust survivor who earlier this week invited the wide receiver to join him in visiting the Nazi concentration camp where he was imprisoned in Europe.

“Your post on Instagram quoting Adolf Hitler, the man behind one of the most evil regimes this world has ever known and the man responsible for the deaths of over 6 million Jews, including my dear parents and sisters, as well as 2 million ethnic Poles and millions of other nationalities and minorities, is heartbreaking and so deeply wrong,” Mosberg wrote. “To understand what evil truly is, and why sharing quotes of the man behind this evil, is so offensive to us all.”

Patriots star receiver Julian Edelman, who identifies as Jewish, said he spoke with Jackson on Thursday night and proposed visiting the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum with the Eagles receiver. The Super Bowl MVP revealed in an Instagram video that an opposing player hurled an anti-Semitic slur at him during a 2011 game.

“DeSean and I spoke for awhile last night,” Edelman wrote. “We’re making plans to use our experiences to educate one another and grow together. Stay tuned.”
