#Transformers: Heavy Metal Mobile Release Date

Bumblebee and Optimus Prime will shortly be zipping down a road near you!

Gamers will join the Guardian Network, an organization of human beings who have teamed up with the Autobots to fight the Decepticons. As Guardians, gamers will explore secret areas across the globe in search of assets and engage in turn-based showdowns against Decepticons, either alone or with buddies.

Release Date

Transformers: Heavy Metal is an augmented-reality mobile title from Niantic, the company behind the smash-hit Pokémon Go. This will be released later in 2021. Fans will be able to join forces with — and fight — the evolving autonomous robots using their devices in the game.

As per Niantic, Transformers: Heavy Metal will be soft-launched in selected areas shortly. The game will be available for free, with in-app transactions arranged.

The game’s production is being led by Seattle-based “Very Very Spaceship,” and Niantic’s launch in Japan will be partnered with Tomy, a toy company. The augmented reality game is being produced in collaboration with Hasbro, the Transformers brand’s founder.

“Transformers is the perfect franchise for AR,” said Niantic CEO John Hanke in a comment. In the actual world, fighting and engaging with giant robots is an incredible experience. The company would like to live up to the high desires of Transformers followers all over the world by delivering a game unlike any other gamers have ever experienced.
