India Jordan delivered one of 2020’s biggest and much-needed bursts of unbridled joy with their EP For You, a six-track rave delight (its title track clocked in at No. 27 on our Best Songs of 2020). Today, Jordan returns with their new song “And Groove,” and has announced the upcoming EP Watch Out!, dropping May 7 via Ninja Tune.
Watch Out! is “a homage to both physical and conceptual movement,” Jordan said in a press statement. They added: “‘And Groove’ was made in peak Lockdown #1 and is reminiscent of a train journey – repetitive and rhythmic movement that goes on and on (and groove!)” True enough, the serene yet propulsive pace of “And Groove” makes it easy to imagine gently resting your head against a train window and imagining that the passing scenery is triggering the music, “Star Guitar” style.
