The I’m in Love With The Villainess yuri light novel series is getting a TV anime adaptation that will premiere in 2023. A teaser trailer and visual, as well as illustrations from the light novels’ illustrator Hanagata and the manga adaptation’s Shimo Aono respectively, have been released.

The I’m in Love With The Villainess anime features the same main staff as this year’s Love of Kill adaptation, including Hideaki Ooba as director, Ayumu Hisao as series composer and scriptwriter, and Youko Satou as character designer. As with Love of Kill, Platinum Vision is the animation production company. 

Composing the soundtrack for I’m in Love With The Villainess are Mazica Party‘s Noriyuki Asakura and Usagi to Uma.

Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes Yuu Serizawa as Rei Taylor and Karin Nanami as Claire Francois.

I’m in Love With The Villainess began as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel by Inori in 2018. Five digital volumes were published from 2015 to 2019 under Ainaka’s yuri-centric GL Bunko label. In 2021, Ichijinsha began publishing the series in physical form under the title of I’m in Love With The Villainess: Revolution, with the third volume set for a December 16, 2022 release. The manga adaptation, also published by Ichijinsha, began earlier in 2020.
