#‘I’m a good person’: Lori Vallow played victim when cops questioned her

“Doomsday” suspect Chad Daybell’s wife played the victim as Idaho cops questioned her about her two then-missing kids last year, a court heard Monday.

“I look like a suspect, but I’m a good person,” Lori Vallow Daybell, her voice breaking, insisted to the two Rexburg, Idaho, officers who showed up at the family’s door Nov. 26 to ask her about the children.

Lori rambled that one of her brothers was trying to kill her, her former sister-in-law wanted to take away her son and the family had to constantly move to stay out of their clutches.

The encounter was one of two between Vallow and the cops that day that was recorded on at least one of the officers’ body cams and played in court during a preliminary hearing for Daybell. The footage was not broadcast, but the audio was.

The children’s bodies were found on Daybell’s rural Idaho property seven months later. Daybell — an author of books about the supposed upcoming Apocalypse — is accused of destroying evidence when burying the kids, while his wife is charged with conspiracy.

Neither has been charged with the children’s murders. Both have pleaded not guilty to the raps against them.

Lori whined in the footage that she and her hubby only look guilty for not producing the kids — her adopted autistic 7-year-old son Joshua “JJ” Vallow and her biological 17-year-daughter Tylee — because no one understands the “horrible year” they’d had.

“It’s a lot of stuff. It’s very weird. I had to move around a lot. One of my brothers was trying to kill me,” Lori claimed.

She added that the sister of her former husband, JJ’s biological grandmother, was planning to do anything to get the boy back.

The grandma, Kay Woodcock, rolled her eyes and looked up to heaven as the footage played. Her husband Larry — who earlier in the day cried while listening to a cop describe how he found JJ’s bound body buried in a pet cemetery on Daybell’s property last month — shook his head in disbelief.

“So I don’t tell people the truth about where we are,” said Lori — who fled to Hawaii with Daybell at one point to allegedly evade police in the case.

“I feel like I’m being tracked all the time,” she added. “I know people are looking for me. I just don’t want to be found.”
