The upcoming Idol Bu Show movie, which features both animated and live-action performances, has released a new 30-second promotional video ahead of its June 24 release in Japan.

The movie is part of the Idol Bu Show project that began in 2019. Its premise involves three idol producers who, due to a mysterious woman, are actually reincarnations of figures from the Sengoku period, as well as an idol “battle royale” where idol units across Japan compete to succeed the disbanded Fool’s End unit.

The Idol Bu Show movie’s staff includes Shingo Kobayashi (World Trigger monitor graphics) as director, Kotsukotsu (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) as scriptwriter, and NOB-C (Love Kome -We Love Rice art director) as character designer. ORENDA and Amineworks are producing the show, with the latter credited for the CG production as well.
