#I May Be a Guild Receptionist’s Opening Animation Is Another Must-Watch in Winter 2025

We’re just a few days into the Winter 2025 anime season, and there have already been a few noteworthy opening and ending animations that deserve to be replayed and screenshotted. The latest to join their ranks is the opening for I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time, the creditless version of which has released by Aniplex way ahead of the series’ January 10 JST premiere.
Compared to the main show, the opening sequence of I May Be a Guild Receptionist goes for a grittier and more “cinematic” look. It is also chockful of impressive character (and creature) acting that make it even easier to temporarily lose oneself in the setting, and has a flying sequence with background animation to boot. The beauty of the animation and visuals easily make up for the pacing, which feels a little slow compared to the theme song (310‘s “Perfect Day.”).
The article will be updated with some of the opening’s production credits when those are made available.
I May Be a Guild Receptionist is based on the Dengeki Bunko light novel series written by Mato Kousaka and illustrated by Gao, which won the gold prize at the 27th Dengeki Shousetsu Taishou. Yen Press describes the premise as:
Alina Clover signed up to be a receptionist for the Adventurers Guild thinking it would be her ticket to the good life. Unfortunately, her dream gig turns into an overtime nightmare whenever the adventurers get stuck clearing a dungeon. To save herself from a mountain of paperwork, Alina takes to beating down monsters herself to solve the problem! Now she just needs to keep her activities a secret…
The light novel series began in 2021 and has eight volumes as of August 2024. It has inspired a manga adaptation drawn by Suzu Yuki.
