#HyperX Unveils New Wireless Gaming Headset with Insane Battery Life – Review Geek

Imagine being able to play video games for over two months, for several hours a day, and not having to recharge your wireless gaming headset. That’s exactly what HyperX is offering with its “world’s first 300-hour Cloud Alpha wireless gaming headset.” And no, that’s not a typo, and they’re actually claiming three hundred hours.

At CES 2022, HyperX announced a slew of exciting new gaming peripherals, from the 300-hour Cloud Alpha Wireless, Clutch wireless game controller, a new wireless mouse, and additional colors or features for some of its other popular headphones. Here’s what gamers need to know.

HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless

While HyperX had several exciting new gaming products to show off at CES 2022, it’s the new wireless headphones that are getting all of the attention. Of course, the company already sells some of the most popular gaming headsets, like the Cloud Flight, with a respectable 30-hours of battery life. However, the all-new premium Cloud Alpha ditches the wires and packs in up to 300-hours on a single charge.

Yes, you could use the headphones for up to 12 days straight, non-stop, before running out of battery.

The original wired Cloud Alpha’s are still an excellent set of gaming headphones, but those looking to go wireless now have an excellent option worth considering. The Cloud Alpha Wireless has new-and-improved, custom 50mm drivers with HyperX’s dual-chamber technology and should sound and perform just as good as the original wired version. Users will enjoy a comfortable memory foam cup, leatherette headrest, and a durable, lightweight aluminum frame. Better yet, the noise-canceling microphone is detachable for times when you don’t need to talk trash to the competition.

Depending on listening volumes and other factors, battery life may vary, but the company promises “up to 300-hours” of battery life at 50% volume, which is insane.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha wireless should be available sometime in February for $199.

Additionally, HyperX confirmed several other exciting new additions are on the way in the coming weeks and months. The company announced a new and improved HyperX Clutch Wireless Game Controller capable of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connections, which also works with mobile devices and smartphones. The new game controller offers roughly 19-hours of battery life and will be available sometime in March for $50.

Gamers can also look forward to HyperX’s new Pulsefire Haste Wireless Gaming Mouse for $79, featuring an ultra-light honeycomb shell design. This should offer improved ventilation during intense gaming sessions and potentially quicker movement, thanks to being so lightweight. The Pulsefire Haste wireless mouse features six programmable buttons, grip-tape sides, 100-hours of battery life, replacement skates, customizable macros, LED lights and should be available in February.

Then, the company confirmed it’d be releasing the HyperX Alloy Origins 65 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard for $99, new colors for the Cloud II Gaming Headset, and a new and improved budget-friendly Cloud Core Gaming Headset that’ll be available in January for $69.99.

While everything announced at CES sounds promising, we can’t wait to get our hands on those 300-hour gaming headphones.
