Hundreds gathered outside a Lower Manhattan courthouse Saturday night for a somber memorial for pioneering Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Mourners played music, lit candles and placed flowers outside New York County Supreme Court at 60 Centre Street to pay their respects to the Brooklyn-born feminist icon and historic legal figure who passed away Friday at age 87 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

“RGB was complicated — I didn’t agree with all her decisions,” said Gabriel Vidal, 21, Queens.

“But overall she stood for democracy. She stood for civil rights and for equality,” he said.

“I think she was an icon. She was the closest you can get in the court system to a celebrity and I think she earned that.”

Supporters left drawings and messages, including “RGB rest in power” and “justice for all,” on 50-yard banner organizers had rolled out by the building.

Others held signs bearing some of her most memorable quotes, including, “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made.”

The passing of the leader of the court’s liberal faction has led to a nationwide, bipartisan outpouring of grief and respect.

The subdued Lower Manhattan event began at 8 p.m. and was organized by the  Resistance Revival Chorus, a group of women protest singers who organized after the 2017 Women’s March.
