The Miami Marlins season has been paused, Marlins podcaster Craig Mish reported.

The team will temporarily take a break as 15 players — half their active roster — and two coaches tested positive for coronavirus over the past few days. It is unclear how long this break will last for the Marlins, or how MLB will handle the changes that would bring to the schedule. Apprehension around baseball had been growing as Nationals players voted that the team not go to Miami for a weekend series with the Marlins.

Marlins star shortstop Miguel Rojas is among those who tested positive, according to Jon Heyman.

The Phillies, who lost two of three to the Marlins in MLB’s delayed opening weekend, have had their first two games against the Yankees postponed and the conclusion of the series may be moved from Philadelphia to The Bronx.

“I think we have to be really smart about this,” Phillies manager Joe Girardi told MLB Network Radio. “After thinking about it, I think this could happen more than this one time. If everyone doesn’t play 60 games, I think that’s all right. We want to get to the playoffs.”
