HP just announced the latest Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop, a 16-inch beast featuring Intel’s latest processors, optional NVIDIA GPUs, and custom beautification AI to keep you gorgeous during video calls. It’s an interesting option in the world of premium laptops, and a killer device for anyone wanting an upgrade for Windows 11.
The new HP Spectre x360 packs a 16-inch display, providing 22mm more screen space than last year’s 15.6-inch models. Base models for the new Spectre x360 use a 3,072 x 1,920 touchscreen IPS panel, though HP provides configuration options for a 4K OLED touchscreen display with “100 percent color calibration.”
Of course, the Spectre x360’s biggest selling point is its AI-powered GlamCam software, which automatically beautifies your skin and teeth, corrects poor lighting, and pans to keep you in frame. It can also auto-lock when you walk away from your desk or automatically apply a background blur when family members walk behind you. To top things off, the laptop’s 5-megapixel webcam has a physical shutter and supports Windows Hello login.
The 16-inch Spectre x360’s beautification AI is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core processor, which HP offers up to an i7 configuration. Customers can also configure the laptop with a discreet NVIDIA RTX 3050 GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of NVMe storage, 32GB of Intel Optane memory. Other specs include Wi-Fi 6E support, two TB4 ports, four USB-C ports, a microSD reader, and 17 hours of battery life.
The new 16-inch Spectre x360 laptop arrives this fall, starting at $1,639. We expect it to release alongside the new HP Envy all-in-one shortly after the October 5th Windows 11 launch.
