According to the Washington Post, Howard is erecting a new building for the fine arts college. It will also house the Cathy Hughes School of Communications, its TV station, WHUT, and its radio station, WHUR 96.3 FM. Boseman died of colon cancer last August. He was 43 years old. This year, he posthumously won the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama at the Golden Globes for his portrayal of a trumpet player named Levee in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Boseman also earned an Oscar nomination (Best Actor) for the role.
