“Drake and 21 Savage’s “Jimmy Cooks” debuts at No. 1”
The Honestly, Nevermind song is Drake’s 11th chart-topping song on the Billboard Hot 100.
Honestly, Nevermind is one of the most ambitious records of Drake’s career thanks to its embrace of house and regional club music, but it’s the album’s most rap-leaning cut that’s having the most chart success so far. “Jimmy Cooks” featuring 21 Savage debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, marking the 11th No. 1 hit for Drake on the chart.
Despite the vocal detractors stateside, Honestly, Nevermind had a strong first week. Its singles “Sticky” and “Falling Back” debuted in the top 10 of the Hot 100 at No. 6 and No. 7, and the album itself sold 204,000 equivalent album units to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (Certified Lover Boy sold 613,000 units in its first week, though unlike Honestly, Nevermind, the album had more than six hours of promo time.) This ranking makes Drake one of five musical acts with more than 10 full-lengths to go No. 1: The Beatles, Jay-Z, Bruce Springsteen, and Barbra Streisand.
