#Pence spotted taking notes on how many Americans have died from coronavirus

Why did he need to takes notes?

At Wednesday’s vice presidential debate, the first question was an obvious choice. Moderator Susan Page of USA Today asked the Democrat vice presidential nominee about the coronavirus pandemic.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) began her remarks by noting that 210,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 and related complications.

For some reason, Vice President Mike Pence needed to write this down.

It was pretty admittedly pretty strange for the head of the coronavirus task force, and vice president to boot, to need to write down the total number of coronavirus deaths. Or anything Harris may have said at the beginning of her debate.

Judd Legum pointed it out on Twitter.

People were less than surprised that Pence was fuzzy on the details. The administration has been heavily criticized for how it handled the deadly pandemic that has infected 7.5 million Americans—including recently President Donald Trump, the first lady, and numerous members of the administration and campaign.

The next presidential debate is scheduled for Oct. 15. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has indicated that the debate may be postponed if Trump is still contagious with COVID-19.
