The Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs anime has released its second trailer and third visual ahead of its April 3 Japanese premiere. The new trailer and visual provide a look at the anime’s cast and mechs, while the former also previews the opening song “Silent Minority” by Kashitaro Itou.

Aside from the trailer and visual, additional staff and cast information were released as well. The newly announced staff are Takamasa Nakakuki (Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katori no Nazotoki File) and Ryousuke Kawai (Tesla Note co-art director) as art directors, Miho Hasegawa (Sakugan) as color designer, Tomoyuki Ishiyama (You Don’t Know Gunma Yet) as photography director, and Kana Hashiguchi (A3! Season Autumn & Winter co-composer) and Show Aratame (Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King) as music composers. Meanwhile, the newly announced cast member is Akira Ishida as the protagonist’s AI partner Luxon.

Trapped in a Dating Sim is based on the Micro Magazine-published light novel series written by Yomu Mishima and illustrated by Monda. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the books as:

Office worker Leon is reincarnated into a dating sim video game, where women reign supreme and only beautiful men have a seat at the table. But Leon has a secret weapon: he remembers everything from his past life, which includes a complete playthrough of the very game in which he is now trapped. Can Leon spark a revolution to change this new world order?

The previously revealed staff of the anime includes Miura Kazuya (Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!) and Shinichi Fukumoto (The Detective Is Already Dead assistant director) as directors, Kenta Ihara (Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy) as series composer, and Masahiko Suzuki (Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life! sub-character designer) as character designer. ENGI is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Takeo Ootsuka as Leon Fou Bartfort, Kana Ichinose as Olivia, Fairouz Ai as Angelica Rapha Redgrave, Ayane Sakura as Marie Fou Lafan, Kenichi Suzumura as Julius Rapha Holfort, Kousuke Toriumi as Jilk Fia Marmoria, Shinnosuke Tachibana as Brad Fou Field, Kouji Yusa as Chris Fia Arclight, and Nobuyuki Hiyama as Greg Fou Seberg. 

The Trapped in a Dating Sim light novels began in 2018 and have nine volumes as of November 2021. The series is published under the GC Novels label. A Kadokawa-published manga adaptation by Jun Shiosato also began in 2018. Trapped in a Dating Sim first began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2017.
