Will the Giants ever lose again?

It came down to one single yard and maybe a few heart palpitations, but Big Blue found a way yet again in the fourth quarter to prevail and win their fourth straight game. These New York Football Giants are now 6-1 and one of the best teams in the NFL. It has not always been pretty, but the Giants defense, run game, timely throws and terrific coaching continues to get the job done.

Me, Brandon London and special guest David Tyree, the former Giants Super Bowl champion, did a special live postgame Blue Rush Podcast from Pilsener Haus & Biergarten in Hoboken following the Giants’ 23-17 win over the Jaguars Sunday. Tyree also shared his thoughts on his time working with Dave Gettleman, which you may want to hear.

• FINDING WAYS TO WIN: Giants find a way to win by a yard. Amazing that the Giants were underdogs in this game. They came up big in the fourth quarter and the defense played well. Incredible day on the ground from both Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley.
• NEED A WR1: Giants need to make a trade for a top receiver if they want to be taken as a serious playoff contender. Wan’Dale Robinson has stepped up in a big way. This is not a great roster, but it’s a great team. What receiver should Giants pursue? Chase Claypool? Jerry Jeudy? Most people can’t thrive under the criticism. Kenny Golladay has been really bad. Not seeing the motivation from Golladay or Kadarius Toney to come back and play.
• DANIEL JONES: Tyree says you need to see multiple years of stability and performance…does not think we have seen that from Jones. The way he has played this season, the Giants have to keep him as their starting QB for at least one more season.
• WORKING WITH DAVE GETTLEMAN: Tyree reflects on his time working with the Giants from 2014-17 as the Director of Player Development and why Gettleman was not the right guy for this team. He shares how he felt he was undervalued and underappreciated working with him.
• OBJ IN NYC: Odell Beckham Jr. was not a cancer, but he handled things the wrong way during his time with the Giants. OBJ was calling out the problems, but didn’t do it correctly. Giants should bring him back though.
• TYREE’S CAREER: Tyree looks back to the helmet catch, his Giants career and what he’s doing in the media world now with MSG Network and his own podcast “Catch The Moment.”
