Ghislaine Maxwell‘s lawyer tried arguing in Manhattan court Tuesday that his client should be freed on bail — because the pair of city attorneys accused of tossing a Molotov cocktail in a cop car were.

Maxwell lawyer Mark Cohen used the pair’s case, as well as others including that of shamed Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff, in suggesting his client wasn’t any less worthy of being released from jail till trial.

Brooklyn lawyer Urooj Rahman, 31, allegedly hurled a Molotov cocktail through the broken window of a marked NYPD vehicle in Fort Greene in late May during rioting over the police-brutality death of George Floyd — then hopped into a getaway car driven by fellow borough attorney Colinford Mattis, 32.

The cop car was empty at the time, and no one was injured. The two lawyers have both pleaded not guilty.

Federal Judge Alison Nathan wasn’t buying Cohen’s argument comparing Maxwell’s case and the others for bail purposes, refusing to free the shamed British socialite — who is accused of helping late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein procure victims.
