Yakuza and Judgment fans get excited, the official Twitter account for the video game studio Ryu Ga Gotoku will have announced that the studio will be having a pre-Tokyo Game Show live summit over on Twitch on September 14. In a press release for the Japanese press, the event is called a “new work presentation.”

Ryu Ga Gotoku has already confirmed that a new Yakuza game is already in the works under the new team made up of developers from prior games taking up leadership roles after long-time studio head and Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi left the studio in October 2021 to head up a new studio under NetEase. The game will be a sequel to the popular Yakuza: Like a Dragon game, a semi-reboot set in the same continuity as the first six games and the Judgement spin-offs.

The latest games from the studio include Lost Judgment on September 24 and Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania on October 5, both 2021. The Ryu Ga Gotoku 2022 Summit will be held on September 14 at 7 PM JST / 3 AM PT over on SEGA’s Twitch channel.
