#Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~ Light Novels Get Anime Adaptation

An anime adaptation of the Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~ (roughly meaning “The Fruit of Evolution: Becoming A Winner Unknowingly”) light novel series has been announced. Staff and cast details are currently unknown.

The light novels are written by Miku and illustrated by U35. The first volume was published in 2014, with the 12th volume set to release on February 26. There is also a manga series adaptation by Sorano, which began in 2018 and will release its sixth volume on January 30. 

The story follows a chubby boy called Seiichi Hiiragi, who is transported to a game-like fantasy world in an incident involving his entire school. In that world, Hiiragi and a gorilla called Saria eat an Evolution Fruit, resulting in a miraculous transformation for the both of them.
