A celebration of life service for Floyd, 46, will take place at The Fountain of Praise Church in Houston, Floyd’s hometown, at 11 a.m. CDT.
The event will be live-streamed on YouTube.
The Houston Police Department will escort Floyd’s casket for burial at the Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, where he’ll be entombed next to his mother, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The funeral Tuesday caps a week of memorial services for Floyd in Houston, North Carolina and Minneapolis — where he died after a white Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes on May 25.
On Monday, thousands gathered at The Fountain of Praise Church to pay their final respects on the same day the officer, Derek Chauvin, was ordered held on $1.25 million bail.
Chauvin, 44, is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in Floyd’s death. The three other officers involved in the incident are charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter.
