The Twitter account for the upcoming Hoshikuzu Telepath anime adaptation has revealed the voice actors behind the show’s two main characters.

Yurie Funato will be voicing Umika, while Seria Fukagawa will voice the alien Yu.

Hoshikuzu Telepath will premiere sometime this year. The anime is based on the “’yuri’ and ‘space’” manga by Rasuko Ookuma, which follows Umika, a reserved student, and Yu, a transfer student and alien who can grasp the feelings of others by putting their foreheads together. 

Kaori (The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2) is directing the show and is also serving as series composer alongside Natsuko Takahashi (Farewell, My Dear Cramer). Takahiro Sakai (Yuki Yuna is a Hero) is the character designer and chief animation director. Studio Gokumi is producing the anime.

The manga began in May 2019 and has three tankoubon volumes as of October 2022. It is serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara magazine and published under the Manga Time KR Comics label.
