#Honey Lemon Soda Reveals 2nd New Visual, Trailer & Theme Songs Artists, Debuts January 8
A second new key visual, trailer, and theme song artists have been revealed for the upcoming Honey Lemon Soda TV anime series, which will broadcast in Japan on January 8, 2025.
Japanese boy band &TEAM are performing both the anime’s opening and ending theme songs. The opening theme song is “Magic Hour” while the ending theme song is “Wonderful World.”
Hiroshi Nishikiori (Argonavis from Bang Dream!, A Certain Magical Index) is directing the anime, with Akiko Waba (Blue Reflection Ray) as series screenwriter, Aimi Tanaka (Sugar Apple Fairytale Episode 2, 3, 4, and 6 character designer et al.) as character designer, and Akira Kosemura (Blue Orchestra co-composer) as music composer. J.C.STAFF is handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

- • Shogo Yano as Kai Miura
- • Rie Takahashi as Serina Kanno
- • Miyari Nemoto as Ayumi Endo
- • Shunichi Toki as Tomoya Takamine

The anime adaptation is based on the shojo romance manga series by Mayu Murata, which began serialization in Shueisha’s RIBON magazine on December 28, 2015. Twenty-six tankobon volumes have been released as of August 2024, with a 27th volume set for release on December 24, 2024. Yen Press releases the manga in English for North America.

In middle school, Uka Ishimori was nicknamed “Stone.”
In order to change herself, she enrolled in Hachimitsu High School, known for its culture of student liberty. Seated in at the desk next to her in the same class is Kai Miura, a coolly freewheeling boy with lemon-colored hair. In truth, Uka met Kai once in middle school, and decided to attend Hachimitsu based on a single word he said to her.To Uka, the popular Kai is a distant presence.
Yet somehow, Kai starts to look after Uka. With Kai encouraging her, Uka gradually begins to fit in with her classmates…
