An elderly homeless man in a wheelchair was shot outside a McDonald’s in South Los Angeles and two women are being sought, police said.

The 75-year-old victim, described in reports as a double amputee, was shot late Tuesday while in his wheelchair outside of the fast-food restaurant in the 1700 block of West Century Boulevard, police said Wednesday.

Investigators said two female suspects drove up to the McDonald’s before one believed to be in her 20s got out of the car, approached the victim and fired one shot, LAPD Officer Lizeth Lomeli told The Post.

The female suspects then drove off. Detectives did not have additional details on the women or their vehicle as of early Thursday, Lomeli said.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in critical but stable condition, authorities said.

Community activists in the Westmont section of South Los Angeles, meanwhile, are calling on cops to track down the female suspects as the unnamed victim – who was shot in the head — fights for his life in grave condition, NBC Los Angeles reported.

“And we’re asking for prayer for these two young women who enacted this violent crime,” Rev. Douglas Nelson of True LA Church told the station. “Because obviously something spiritually is wrong with them.”

The victim may have known the suspect who fired the gun or the woman who drove the getaway car, sources told NBC Los Angeles.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore said he was dismayed by the bold late-night attack.

“Disabled and handicapped as he was,” Moore told the station. “The brazen nature of it – it’s very troubling.”

The shooting also stoked fear among the homeless living on the streets of South Los Angeles, KABC reported.

“They’re taking stuff from people that are … they’re innocent,” Richard Padilla told the station. “Every day.”

Another man who operated a food bank in the neighborhood said homeless people constantly tell him they live in fear.

“They tell me that they’re scared,” Ollie Bradley told KABC. “It’s not enough security for them. They need to be secure just like anybody else. They’re just outside, not inside.”
