#Homeless man charged with arson over East Harlem building fire

A 61-year-old homeless man with a lengthy rap sheet was hit with a slew of charges Sunday over a huge blaze at his ex-girlfriend’s East Harlem apartment building that left several injured, according to police.

Willie Manning is accused of sparking Saturday’s inferno at the six-story building on East 135th Street and Fifth Avenue after allegedly barricading himself in to avoid being taken in for violating an order of protection.

Seven people, including two cops, were injured and taken to Harlem Hospital and Mount Sinai Morningside, the FDNY said, with photos showing an officer carrying a baby in a diaper near the building.

Manning — who has a criminal record of more than 30 priors — was charged Sunday after first being treated at a hospital, the NYPD said.

He was listed as homeless and charged with burglary, arson, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and criminal contempt, a police spokesperson said.
