Vice President Mike Pence is expected to be center stage Wednesday night for the third day of the 2020 Republican National Convention under the theme, “America, Land of Heroes.”

He will deliver a speech from the Fort McHenry National Monument in Baltimore, Maryland — the site of the battle during the War of 1812 that inspired Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner” — in an address “honoring what makes America great,” Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh told reporters.

“He will talk in optimistic terms about our future as Americans, and he will lay out the very real and important accomplishments of President Trump’s administration,” Murtagh said.

Tuesday night’s speeches were dominated by a Rose Garden address from Melania Trump where she told Americans her husband was fighting for them, and a defiant appearance from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo from Jerusalem.

On Wednesday, Pence, second lady Karen Pence, outgoing White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, New York GOP Reps. Elise Stefanik and Lee Zeldin, and campaign adviser Lara Trump will take up the baton along with Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw.

Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany will also speak in “a personal capacity,” the Trump re-election campaign said.

Pence will officially accept his renomination as the Republican Party’s vice presidential candidate, firmly putting an end to rumors that Trump would dump the former Indiana governor as his 2020 running mate. Wife Karen Pence, a former elementary school teacher, will also deliver a speech.

The president will again be represented by family when Lara Trump, a campaign adviser who is married to son Eric, speaks from the GOP event.

Her husband, who continues to serve as a senior executive in the Trump Organization, gave a well-received speech of his own Tuesday night, which he finished on a personal note and said he missed working alongside his father every day.

Trump’s longtime adviser Kellyanne Conway’s appearance Wednesday evening could also be one of her last after she announced that she was leaving the White House at the end of the month to spend more time with her children.

Some of Trump’s staunchest defenders on Capitol Hill are also slated to speak, including Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, who is facing a tough re-election battle.

A new generation of GOP faces will be represented by Stefanik and Zeldin, who have become close advisers to the president.

The Post reported earlier this week that Stefanik would take a sledgehammer to Joe Biden’s legacy during a prime-time headline slot.

Madison Cawthorn, the North Carolina congressional candidate who is expected to fill chief of staff Mark Meadows’ seat to become the youngest member of Congress at age 25 after a huge June primary upset, will also speak at the event.

Former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, who, as The Post reported, is now an RNC adviser on LGBT outreach, will speak, as will North Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who reportedly has 2024 presidential ambitions.
