“#Hideaki Anno Documentary Follows Four Years of Work on Evangelion 3.0+1.0”
Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time is finally out in Japan, and it’s already breaking some records. It was a long road to get here, however, and a new documentary follows four years of the process with a focus on director Hideaki Anno.
The 75-minute Professional Work Style special will air on NHK General TV in Japan on March 22. Beyond Anno, there will be appearances by his wife, mangaka Moyoco Anno, as well as Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki, director and Anno protégé Kazuya Tsurumaki, Shin Godzilla and Shin Ultraman collaborator Shinji Higuchi, and anime legend Hayao Miyazaki.
