Sad news for Teen Mom: Family Reunion‘s Ashley Jones.

During Tuesday night’s reunion special, the reality star made the heartbreaking announcement that she suffered a miscarriage. The 25-year-old and her husband, Bar Smith were expecting their second child. They currently share a 5-year-old daughter, Holly. During an interview alongside her mother Tea, Ashley revealed:

“I’m okay. I’m sad to say we actually had a miscarriage.”

Oof. So, so sad.

When asked how she’s felt since learning the devastating news, Ashley said while getting choked up:

“I don’t know. I’m still, kinda like, you know, trying to get back to myself.”

She continued:

“I know I should be [getting help from a professional], but I am the kind of person that just kinda like steam-rolls over things. I think we all know this. I’m not a sit in your emotions and dissect them kind of person.”

Host Cheyenne “Coach B” Bryant then strongly encouraged the young mother to seek out counseling while “grieving” the loss of her child and the “emotions she suppressed” amid her husband’s legal ordeal. Both Ashley and Tea agreed therapy was an appropriate next step. Good to hear.

If you didn’t know, Ashley discovered she was pregnant in September the day before Bar was arrested. He was charged with being a fugitive from another state and was arrested in Nevada before being moved to a California jail for charges stemming from a previous DUI, willful discharge of a firearm, and negligent manner arrests. He’s reportedly since been released. So, this has obviously been a really emotional time for Ashley. We’re so sorry to hear she lost the baby. We hope she gets all the help she needs to heal from this loss.
