#Hear Terrace Martin’s smooth instrumental cover of SZA’s “Snooze”

Fusion mastermind and superstar saxophonist Terrace Martin has shared an instrumental cover of “Snooze,” a smash hit from SZA’s 2022 album SOS that currently boasts more than 300 million Spotify plays (second on the record’s hit list only to “Kill Bill,” which is nearing a billion listens on that platform alone).
Martin’s version centers his smooth sax stylings, which stay close to SZA’s original vocal line. He takes liberties with the rest of his arrangement, however, replacing the SOS track’s relatively straightforward R&B instrumental with an infinitely lush sea of synthesizers, full of colorful algal blooms that surround his melody. The cover will appear on his forthcoming album Fine Time — scheduled for a June arrival but with no official release date confirmed. Watch the song’s appropriately floral visualizer below.
