Harley-Davidson will cut 140 jobs in the US following its decision to adjust production volumes, a company representative told Reuters.

The layoffs will affect 90 production workers at Harley’s York facility in Pennsylvania and 50 at its Tomahawk facility in Wisconsin.

Shares of the motorcycle maker, helmed by CEO Jochen Zeitz, who was appointed last month, were up 3.6 percent in late-afternoon trading, at $24.20.

In April, the company temporarily laid off most of its production staffers and cut some salaries due to revenue problems brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
