#Hajime Kamoshida's Rascal Light Novel Series Reaches Two Million Copies Printed

On the release day of its latest 11th volume Rascal Does Not Dream of Nightingale in Japan, KADOKAWA announced that Hajime Kamoshida's Rascal Does Not Dream light novel series had printed two million copies in total since its first volume Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai was released in April 2014. Kamoshida is also known for his other popular series that had its anime adaptation, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou (2010-2014).

The series has been published from KADOKAWA's light novel imprint Dengeki Bunko and has had three comicalizations, each by a different illustrator. The story of its first five volumes and the beginning of its sixth was adapted into a 13-episode TV anime in 2018, then an anime feature film based on its sixth and seventh volumes was released in Japan in June 2019.

In commemoration of reaching the milestone, a special leaflet including a newly-written short story by the novel author is now given to new purchasers of the Rascal Does Not Dream series at Japanese stores that join the memorial campaign.
