#Activision Blizzard Lawsuit Is Insane & Really Highlight A Disgusting Part Of The Gaming Culture! » OmniGeekEmpire

I finally looked into this whole Activision Blizzard lawsuit thing and my God, this is beyond repairable and I am honestly disgusted if true!

Activision Blizzard was sued by California over sexual harassment, unequal pay in ‘pervasive Frat Boy’ culture, alleging the company’s “pervasive frat boy workplace culture” resulted in women employees being continuously subjected to sexual harassment and being paid less than men. Everything that they’re being accused of can be found in the 29-page complaint is at this link, but be warned, it’s not easy to read. It’s a lengthy document that highlights all manner of disgusting behavior that allegedly happen at Activision Blizzard, to the point that it allegedly costed the life of one female employee!

According to the complaint, filed Tuesday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, female employees are subjected to a “pervasive frat boy workplace culture,” including “cube crawls,” in which male employees “drink copious amounts of alcohol as they crawl their way through various cubicles in the office and often engage in inappropriate behavior toward female employees. It gets worse, The agency also alleges male employees play video games during the workday while delegating most of their responsibilities to their female employees, engage in sexual banter, and joke openly about rape, among other things.

Now, these are all allegations so far so we’ll need to wait for an official ruling, but if this is true, well I’ll honestly be at a loss for words. However, it’s worth noting that women across the gaming industry have talked about their horrible experiences and harassment for years and well, it’s mostly has gone to deaf ears. Ubisoft too caught fire for their own toxic work environment. A real shame! We gotta do better, how can it be this difficult to be a decent human being.
