New video has emerged of Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa and a handful of his group members going toe to toe with crowds of people in lower Manhattan — one even throwing a bicycle at him — amid a night of looting.

Sliwa and his citizens crime fighting group had taken position at the Foot Locker store at Broadway and Washington Place when the brawl broke out around 10 p.m., he said.

Sliwa charges that looters were trying to get into the store because it contained limited edition Nike sneakers.

“There was a whole demonstration walking by and the looters were in the crowd,” he said.

He said marchers tried to get past his group three times — at 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. The attack caught on the video was the second of the trio.

“It had happened a first time and they said they were coming back,” Sliwa said,  “As bad as this one was, the next one was worse.”

In the third attack, he suffered a fractured jaw when he was hit with a hammer and one of the men in his group suffered a broken eye socket and broken nose.

“The police had been told to stand down,” Sliwa claimed. “I said to the cops ‘How do you allow this? We’re not standing down. We’re making a stand.’ ”

Finally, at 11:15 p.m. “the cavalry arrived,” he said.

“It was hundreds of cops,” he said. “They chased them and they ran toward the Lower East Side.”

Video also shows some civilians interpose themselves between Angels and looters.
