#Gridman x Dynazenon Project Revealed In Final SSSS.Dynazenon Episode

Studio Trigger’s Gridman universe is getting a third entry titled Gridman x Dynazenon. An official announcement has not yet been made at the time of writing, but the new project was revealed in Japanese TV broadcasts of the final episode of Spring 2021’s SSSS.Dynazenon.

Details about the new project remain unknown, aside from the title indicating a crossover of some form between 2018’s SSSS.Gridman and this year’s SSSS.Dynazenon

SSSS.Dynazenon‘s staff included SSSS.Gridman staff Akira Amemiya as director, Keiichi Hasegawa as scriptwriter, Masaru Sakamoto as character designer, and Shiro Sagisu as music composer. Tsuyoshi Nonaka, who was the assistant weapon designer on SSSS.Gridman, is the Dynazenon designer for the 2021 follow-up. Graphinica once again handled the 3DCG animation, with Shinichi Miyakaze returning as 3DCG chief director. Other Graphinica staff in SSSS.Dynazenon include Kouji Ichikawa (Blade of the Immortal) as 3DCG director and Katsunori Shiradou (previously assistant photography director for SSSS.Gridman) as photography director.

Funimation describes SSSS.Dynazenon as:

When Yomogi Asanaka, a first-year student at Fujiyokidai High School, meets Gauma, he claims to be a “kaiju user.” But the appearance of a kaiju followed by the entry of the gigantic robot, Dynazenon, backs up his mysterious words. And after Yume Minami, Koyomi Yamanaka, and Chise Asukagawa end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, they get dragged into the desperate fight against the kaiju!

Meanwhile, Crunchyroll describes SSSS.Gridman as:

Yuta Hibiki can’t remember who he is, and now he’s seeing and hearing things that others don’t! A voice from an old computer tells him to remember his calling, and he sees a massive, unmoving creature in the distance. Nothing’s making sense—until the behemoth springs to life! Suddenly, Yuta is pulled into the digital world, reappearing in the real one as the colossal hero—Gridman!
