#Grand jury for Breonna Taylor case convening at undisclosed location

A grand jury is weighing whether to file criminal charges against the Louisville cops who were involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor during a botched police raid — with the panel meeting at a secret location this week, according to reports.

Kentucky state prosecutors are due to present evidence against the three cops involved in the March 13 raid over at least two days, with the grand jury’s decision expected to be announced as soon as next week, WKYT-TV reported.

The location of the grand jury presentation is not being made public because of the volatile nature of the incident, which has sparked protests and calls for an end to police brutality.

The three officers — Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove — burst into Taylor’s apartment while executing a no-knock warrant and opened fire, killing the 26-year-old EMT while she slept.

Hankinson, who fired 10 shots, was later fired. Mattingly and Cosgrove remain on administrative reassignment.

Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, returned fire at the plainclothes cops, saying he did not know they were police officers. Charges against Walker were later dropped and he is now suing the department.

Police said cops believed Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Jamarcus Glover had been using her apartment to stash drugs and cash, but nothing was found, according to The Hill.
